As well as benefitting from close proximity to Central London and the City; residents of NW9 are within a 10 minute drive of prestigious Mill Hill, diverse Edgware and lively Hendon.

Mill Hill

Just 20 minutes from Central London on the Tube, Mill Hill has managed to retain a quintessential village charm over the years; providing a desirable retreat from the bustle of the city. Mill Hill is a delightful place with its fair share of picturesque parks, independent shops, good local schools and local sports facilities. The old village is now primarily a residential area with a lovely mix of Georgian properties and charming cottages. Mill Hill Broadway is the modern-day centre and is full of life with varied shops, pleasant cafés, a library and fantastic transport links whilst Mill Hill East is rapidly developing and becoming another lively hotspot in its own right. Bittacy Hill Park is a hidden gem within Mill Hill; this magnificent open space of rolling hills also features free tennis courts and a children’s playground. Additionally, you don’t have to venture far from Mill Hill and you’re on the world-famous Hampstead Heath.

Edgware

Although vastly residential, Edgware still offers an interesting mix of entertainment and dining options. As a result of its large Jewish and Asian community, Edgware has a wealth of exotic restaurants and food shops that provide an eclectic, multi-cultural mix of dining options. For shopping enthusiasts, The Mall Broadwalk houses over 40 retailers and features an interesting mix of local, independent stores alongside top high street names, including Marks & Spencer, Boots and Next. Nearby Watling Market, held every Saturday is a local delight and thrifty shoppers can pick-up some wonderful vintage finds as well as, fresh fruit and vegetables.

Hendon

Hendon is a vibrant, culturally-diverse area with excellent transport links into the city, one of London’s biggest shopping centres (Brent Cross), Middlesex University and some beautiful parks. Every Sunday, Brent Street comes alive with people sampling the many delights of the bagel bakeries and cafés; a perfect way to end the weekend. For nature lovers, Hendon Park - just opposite Hendon Central Tube - has tennis courts and a popular family café; whilst Welsh Harp Reservoir features 170 hectares of open water, marshes, trees and grasslands. On rainy days, you can catch the latest blockbuster at the Cineworld on Staples Corner, or brush up on your history knowledge at Hendon RAF Museum and Church Farmhouse Museum. Hendon also boasts impressive local landmarks with a grand Town Hall, the Library on the Burroughs and magnificent Hendon Hall Hotel - a former 16th century mansion. Hendon is not short of evening entertainment either, with a varied choice of pubs, namely the Greyhound Pub which offers live music and a jovial atmosphere
