Six months into the dig on a Southwark building site, set to be the development Trilogy by Galliard Homes and partners, a 1,600 year old sarcophagus has been discovered. The site has already yielded pottery and coins however this sarcophagus, although most likely robbed in the 18th century, is the most exciting discovery to date. On the site, a complex of 64 contemporary apartments will be set across three buildings spanning over 24,000 sq. ft.
