Finding the Dream Home

The young homeowner works in sales in the IT industry and finding somewhere with excellent connections to the centre of London was a key factor to take into consideration. But Daniel also wanted to be close to his friends in South-West London. After being introduced to the area by a friend who works in property, Daniel discovered the Stadia Three apartments at Wimbledon Grounds and contacted the sales team. From there, the ball was rolling.

“I went online, spoke to TJ the advisor, and that was it. I was here within a couple of days and made my decision there and then. I think it was meant to be in a way,” Daniel explains with a smile on his face. “Ever since then, I’ve never looked back.”

Why Wimbledon?

As well as being close to his friends, Daniel was looking for an area that would give him plenty of choice when it comes to local amenities, dining out and entertainment. Nestled between some of South-West London’s most popular spots — including the trendy district of Tooting and the largest of London’s Royal Parks, Richmond Park — Wimbledon has so much to offer on its periphery.

This part of London has a genuine neighbourhood feel, but is also a stone’s throw from the centre of the City, making it a perfect choice for someone like Daniel who seeks a clear distinction between their work and home environment, without having to travel far between the two.

A Short Commute: From Home to Work in 50 Minutes

After having to endure a four-hour daily commute from his previous residence in Brighton, Daniel decided to move to the capital and lived in Greenwich for about four-and-a-half years.

Now, thanks to the superb transport services available in the area, Daniel’s commute to work couldn’t be easier. With three stations to choose from, the young buyer now only has to travel around 40 minutes on the train to reach London Bridge, where his office is based; just a 10 minute walk away, Tooting Broadway offers fast, direct access to London Bridge station on the Northern line.

Staying Home at Wimbledon Grounds

Searching for a location with unparalleled connectivity is paramount if you’re a professional based in the City, but when it comes to staying at home — something that has become an integral part of the ‘new normal’ lifestyle in the post-Covid era — Wimbledon Grounds is an exceptional place to do just that too. Offering everything one would need on-site from lifestyle and retail amenities to shared sporting facilities and quiet workspaces to get business done, the development is second to none for convenience. What’s more, residents have plenty of outdoor space for daily exercise and clearing their minds with two beautifully landscaped communal gardens at the development.

Community is what Wimbledon Grounds is all about. For Daniel, the site’s grounds, views and security are what sold Stadia Three, as well as the location.

Buying Your First Home with Galliard

Getting a foot on the property ladder can be an extremely daunting prospect for many young people as it is one of the largest, most important purchases a person will ever make in their lifetime. Going from renting for years to buying a property was a big step for Daniel, who didn’t know much about the process of buying a home and was surprised by how straightforward it actually is.

“The buying process was simple for me. I mean, [as a] first-time buyer, I never really knew what it would take to buy a property to be honest.” Our friendly team were there to guide Daniel every step of the way and in no time at all, Daniel had his foot on the property ladder.  “Honestly, it was one of the easiest processes ever […] I think buying here was one of the best decisions I’ve made.”
