Great Scotland Yard

The former Great Scotland Yard is undergoing a complete interior transformation from the old Metropolitan Police headquarters into the ultimate 110-room luxury hotel. In 2015 Galliard Homes sold Great Scotland Yard to the Abu-Dhabi based LuLu Group who will take full ownership once Galliard Construction has completed the project.

Galliard Homes established a 50:50 joint venture with private investment company, Cain Hoy (now Cain International). The joint venture known as Galliard Developments Ltd is set to invest up to £225 million in new projects over three years to develop £1 billion of residential units. To date we have undertaken 30 projects with Jonathan Goldstein and his team.

Galliard Homes introduced the Platinum Collection; a group of developments in London’s most desirable locations. Prestigious addresses launching the collection included Great Cumberland Place, Portland Place and St Mary at Hill.

Chiltern Street, Marylebone

Chiltern Street, Marylebone

Together with Frogmore, Galliard Homes acquired a former car park site on Chiltern Street. Permission was later granted to develop 44 ultra-luxury apartments now known as The Chilterns. The scheme broke new ground for Marylebone with world-renowned photographer David Bailey dressing the lobby with his work for the area’s first residents’ private gallery. This flagship development completed in 2016.

Marconi House

Marconi House

The Foster and Partners designed conversion and refurbishment of this listed building in Central London’s Strand was released in 2010 in partnership with Frogmore. Marconi House was once home to the Marconi Wireless Telegraph Company in 1912, and was in fact the very building from which the newly formed BBC made its first radio broadcast in 1922.

The Arsenal Stadium

The Arsenal Stadium

The Drayton Park development in JV with Frogmore was part of the regeneration of the area surrounding Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium. As part of The Drayton Park Apartments sales offering, purchasers were given the bonus of an Arsenal season ticket. This development sold-out in one weekend.

Greenwich peninsula

Greenwich peninsula

Galliard purchased the whole Greenwich peninsula carved out by Deptford Creek. Situated minutes from Cutty Sark, the land was originally part of the Royal Tudor Dockyard developed by King Henry VIII and where Queen Elizabeth I knighted Sir Francis Drake after the Golden Hind circumnavigated the globe. Now known as New Capital Quay, the unique site of some 900 apartments is surrounded by water on three sides. Attracting interest from homeowners and investors alike, the sales release took place in September 2007 and more than 400 apartments were sold in just one weekend.
