From Chelmsford station, travellers can reach destinations further north such as Colchester, Clacton-on-Sea and Ipswich, whilst Liverpool Street in the City of London is accessible in a swift 35 minutes. Once Crossrail services commence in 2017 from Shenfield station – just 12 minutes’ train ride from Chelmsford – commuters will be able to hop off and catch an Elizabeth line train that will take them to Canary Wharf or Bond Street, without the need to change trains at Liverpool Street.
